I'm Liz Cole of "RETROS" I live in Seattle, WA and have been sewing fashions for dolls for over 20 years. I started designing and doing repaints for Barbie, and have expanded to all the other size fashion dolls and BJDs. I currently have a webstore on Etsy. JO AYRES
My name is Josephine (or Jo) Ayres, and I am a self-taught creative person who loves a challenge. I am based in Perth, Australia. Everything is handmade by me except the stockings using vintage and new materials. This year's IFDC doll I've done I'm calling "Runway Runaway." She comes with handmade shoes, a fake fur stole in "fox" that is fully lined. I used a houndstooth weave material for both her outfit and her hat; also silk, ribbons, and plenty of lace.
The gloves are made of the same lace as the collar so they match. The vest is lined and comes off to reveal a tube dress with inserted lace pleats. The hat is lined and features black and red tulle ribbon, and has matching red roses on it in the hunting style. Earrings are pearl and diamonte beads.
The doll received and hair cut and features French braiding at the back ; red ribbon constrasts the black curls. I also did a repaint and enhancement, and she will come with a certificate of authenticity. You can see more of my dolls on my website.
