She loves dolls and art and has been an Artist for as long as she can remember. She has a Masters Degree in Computer Science, and currently, runs her own store with a local doll hospital. They specialize in One of a kind Art dolls, various other dolls, and a variety of gift items.

She has also branched out into Computer Repair as WHD Technologies. In addition, she still does doll redos in an ongoing basis under the business name "WH Designs." She started it in March 2004, and has been loving it ever since.

SONIA ENGLISH

Sonia English was born in the Caribbean and migrated to the US over 33 years ago. She is a disabled, single Mom who lives with her two young adult boys. Shelives in Connecticut, and formerly worked as a Scientist. Sonia sews for all typesof Fashion Dolls but crochets mostly for the 11.5-12 inch dolls, and sometimes for the Ellowyne Wilde doll. Most of her past creations have been sold on eBay, but her work can be seen in her three photo albums. All sewing is done using quality fabrics and laces imported from Hong Kong. GAYLE COOLEY

Gayle Cooley creates her dolls under the name Dashing Dolls by Gayle She has been doing Fashion Doll makeovers since 2002.

Gayle now specializes in Costuming and face-ups for Asian Ball Jointed dolls. Just email Gayle if you are interested in her work.

One doll...........reinvented many ways!!

Out of the mind of Jim Faraone comes a project so delicious it could only be tackled by his friends in his Fashion Doll Makeover group. And, oh, what talented friends he has!

The Project:

Jim would send each artist Integrity's Natalie Fatale BACK TO BLACK (nude) for a special sale in support of the IFDC at the 2010 convention.

Each artist would do a fashion doll makeover on this doll and return it to him no later than May 2010.

No restrictions were given to the artists as to theme or preferred style to use - they all were being given a blank canvas!

Jim Faraone has been creating OOAK dolls since 1986 and is the author of the series of books "Fashion Doll Makeovers, Learn from the Artists." CHERYL CASTILLON

Cheryl joined Jim's online group in 2001, and has been a member since then. Cheryl creates OOAK dolls and also outfits. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina came took everything from Cheryl and her family. It also took away her desire to create dolls. It has been four years and she's finally getting back to creating. Cheryl wishes to thank Jim for the motivation when he sent out an email asking for help with the IFDC makeover Natalia. She has been working on dolls for the last month. Cheryl loves to do beadwork and especially loves to make bellydancers. Now she has lots of ideas floating around in her brain and her fingers are itching to work! PATTY HAGAR

Patty Hagar is 54 years young, lives in Northern California, and has been collecting dolls forever. She only discovered Fashion Royalty girls a little over a year ago, and has added them to her collection of Silkstone Barbies.

She considers herself a novice when it comes to styling hair, but definitely can crochet a dress because she has been crocheting for dolls for four years now. She doesn't like to crochet for people though, because it takes too long. JOE BOURLAND

Joe Bourland lives in the great state of Texas, and started designing dolls in March of 2001. Getting into designing was purely an accident. Designing Barbies was her sister's dream; Joe had not even looked at a Barbie in over 30 years. Against her better judgment she pulled together a used Barbie, a few scraps of material from a nearby Wal-Mart, and started her first attempt at "dressing a Barbie." What a nightmare that design was! But no more - through the years she's had the time of her life; never having this much fun playing with Barbies when she was a little girl. She claims no degrees or formal training in design work. Her dreams are the institutions of learning for her doll designs.
